We join Anna Eskamani (State Rep – District 47) and Chris King (2018 Lt. Governor nominee) in endorsing Michele Rayner for State Representative in District 70. Michele’s principles are firmly grounded in the Movement for Black Lives. Rayner is a civil rights and social justice attorney and has tried both local and national high-profile cases in Pinellas County, including the Markeis McGlockton case which reignited the debate about Florida’s ‘Stand Your Ground” law. Her campaign platform centers around the needs and voices of the most vulnerable in our community. Michele has a proven record of fighting for change. She is strong, bold, and not afraid to speak her mind. Having worked as a legislative assistant for State Senator Arthenia Joyner, she also has first-hand experience in Tallahassee. She describes three values define her service: accountability, integrity and transparency. We believe Michele will be an outspoken advocate for the changes we need to ensure a more just and equitable Florida.
